steampunk task

looking through references on Google images it occurred to me that most steam punk styles seem to lean towards intricate design composed of hundreds of pieces, I was at a loss since I suck at intricate metal designs.

I looked to monster hunter games for weapon ideas since they have many steam and mechanically powered weapons for the players disposal.

The folding sword would be connected to a cyborg with one oversized metal arm, the two would function together to produce steam.

During the production of this task I had viewed an anime called hells, it really does question human behaviour and makes you thing what the point of it all is.
The specil thing about is is that i fell in love with the colour pallete and art style, you can see the sketch like lines in every frame of the film and yet it makes it feel very sophisticated, so I wanted to make something in the same style.

I tried picking up my old manga studio ex in which the sketch lines looked good, however after multiple erased drawing I went back to photoshop.

following the murky colour pallette the sketchy lines and the suit colour looked nice together, now to work on the skin rotten skin colour and shades of bronze.
